Company History
Peter Tasch founded the company in October of 1956 in Hatboro, Pennsylvania with the premise of doing quality repairs at a fair price. Those ideals still apply to the business today.
Al Tasch joined the company full time in June of 1962 after graduating from Hatboro-Horsham High. The company was incorporated in 1977 under the name of Pete’s Auto Collision Inc. The company moved from Hatboro to its current location at 213 Horsham Road, Horsham, Pennsylvania in 1986.
In 1988, Al Tasch became owner and president of Pete’s Auto Collision Inc. Al served on the Horsham Parks and Recreation board for 10 years. Al is a past president, board member, and coach of Horsham Little League for over 21 years. He helped found Horsham American Legion Baseball in Horsham and was involved for 11 years.
In 1998 Pete’s Auto Collision applied and was accepted as a CARSTAR franchise. CARSTAR only accepts the best of the best of the shops that apply. Proudly, today we are still a CARSTAR franchise, which is the best and largest collision repair franchise in North America. Brian Tasch joined the company in 2002 as an estimator and, now is also general manager. Jim Fitzgerald joined the company in 1996 as tow truck driver and, today is tow manager overseeing a towing department with 3 drivers and 4 trucks.
* All estimators are Pennsylvania licensed.
* Estimators carry ASE B6 certification, as well as I-Car training.
* Pete’s is approved by 10 different insurance DRP programs.
* Accepts estimates, from all insurance companies.
* Pete’s CARSTAR is a Sherwin Williams A+ shop. We meet or exceed all SW standards in automotive refinishing.
* We only use Sherwin-Williams computerized paint matching, and mixing system to make all the paint that we use for vehicle refinishing part of repairs.
